Thriving through Conflict
Looking for hosts or sponsors
Conflict drives us into the wilderness of chaos and uncertainty. We fear the worst storms and feel lost, but the wilderness of conflict is also a place of discovery and innovation.
Discover how to make the most of conflicts in your life in this day-long workshop. We will learn from each other through interactive exercises and draw on insights from Bowen Family Systems Theory for managing anxiety in relationships. In four sessions, we'll explore these themes.
- Personal Groundwork in Facing Conflict
Reflect on your own experience, and your perceptions of conflict. Consider the dangers and the opportunities of facing into conflict. Complete a conflict styles questionnaire.
- Conflict Styles and Strategies
Learn about your style preferences in responding to conflict. Understand conflict patterns in groups, and how to build a conflict-healthy culture.
- Balancing Self and Other
Express yourself and listen to others in the midst of tension. Communicate with care to move through anger to connection and constructive change.
- Confronting and Being Approachable
Collaborate and examine underlying concerns in order to resolve conflict constructively. Voice your conscience, while remaining open to another person’s perspective. Be responsible with your anxiety when it gets rough.
